CALL TO ORDER: The Annual meeting of the West Michigan Arabian Horse Association, was held in Amore Trattoria Restaurant, Grand Rapids, MI on Nov. 5, 2011. The meeting convened at 7:52 p.m., President, Ron Armstrong presiding, and Paula Massilink filling in for Laura Ebels, secretary.

SECRETARY – Still waiting for all bills to be turned in for accurate account. Pam continuing on meeting with Mason Fair group for next years Fall Classic.
Motion was made by Pam Kittredge to approve, Doreen Andersen 2nd – All passed.
BOARD AND COMMITTEE REPORTS:
MEMBERSHIP REPORT by Pam Kittredge. 109 adult members, 1 life membership, 4 -3 year memberships , 40 youth with a total of 154.
BANQUET/HIGH POINT AWARDS REPORT BY CARY VAN SPRONSEN:
Our awards banquet will again be held on Jan. 08, 2012, at English Hills Country Club. Social hour from 1- 2 p.m. with dinner/lunch served at 2 p.m. There will be an increase in price ( not available) and all must pre-pay ahead of banquet.
Community high point awards have been ordered.
HOSPITALITY REPORT – Don Nitz not in attendance due to passing of his brother. Paula Masselink will send out card to Don and family.
YOUTH REPORT: Doreen is no longer in charge of Youth. No report.
COMMUNITY SHOW REPORT BY CARY VAN SPRONSEN:
The Community shows were very successful. Due to bad weather first show was poor on attendance. Cary suggested when bad weather hits to put on WMAHA Facebook website for any cancellations/changes and also must get all phone numbers from entries and also Board members for her to contact at crack of dawn if need for cancellations. All bills have not been tallied as of yet.

FALL CLASSIC REPORT BY PAM KITTREDGE:
All bills have not been turned in yet for a full account. Pam working with Mason Fairgrounds commission for next years Fall Classic.
NEW BUSINESS:
OPEN DISCUSSION OF AHA CONVENTION RESOLUTIONS:
Resolutions clarified and understood. Discussion has been made that no one from WMAHA will be attending this year’s convention. Several members from Region 13 will be attending for us.
ELECTIONS:
2012 nominations from the floor for/election committee for President. Ron Hall moved, Laura Armstrong seconded, approved by the Board to close the nominations for President. All passed. Ron Armstrong agreed to take position.
Secretary – on hold till further commitment
Nominations from the floor for Vice President – Ron Armstrong moved and Dee Bozek seconded, approved by the Board to close the nominations for Vice President. Doreen Andersen accepted to take this position.
Nominations from the floor/election committee for Treasurer – Jennifer Fett moved, Laura Armstrong seconded, approved by the Board to close the nominations for Treasurer. Pam Kittredge accepted this position.
Nominations from the floor for Secretary: Laura Ebels was absent. Accumulation votes and approved for Laura to hold Secretary position.
Nominations from the floor/election committee for Board of Directors positions: Four nominations – Trinka Carman, Jennifer Fett, Ron Hall, Cary Van Spronsen.

Ron Armstrong moved and Ron Hall seconded, approved by the Board to close the nominations for the Nominating Committee and to have all the individuals nominated from the floor comprise the Nominating Committee:

Delegates for the AHA Convention for 2012 will be Trinka Carman, Doreen Andersen, and Ron Hall.
Alternates for 2012 are Pam Kittredge and Jodi Thurston
ANNOUCEMENTS: The next regular Board meeting of the WMAHA will be held on Dec. 14, 2011 as a potluck at Quest Training Facility.
ADJOURNMENT: Doreen Andersen made a motion to adjourn meeting and Pam Kittredge seconded. All passed. The meeting was adjourned at 10:04 p.m.
