Call to order: A board meeting of the West Michigan Arabian Horse Association was held in Amore Trattoria Restaurant, Grand Rapids, MI on August 10, 2011. The meeting convened at 7:18 pm, President, Ron Armstrong presiding, and Laura Ebels, secretary.

Approval of Agenda: Motion was made by Trinka Carman to approve the Agenda. Motion carried.

114 Adult members, 36 Youth and 2 Lifetime members for a total of 162 members.
Banquet/High Point Awards Report by Cary Van Spronsen:
The 2010 WMAHA High Point Standing are on the website.
Hospitality Report by Don Nitz:
The WMAHA signs ready and will be used at the August Community Show.
Youth Report by Doreen Andersen:
The Region 13 Youth won the Stall Decoration contest at Youth Nationals.
Community Show Report by Cary Van Spronsen:
The July Community Show raised $404 to be donated to the Lacks Cancer Center. Bonnie Hazen will be the judge at the August show at Berlin Fairgrounds. More help is needed at the August Show.
Fall Classic Report by Pam Kittredge:
There was an increase in pricing for the ribbons for the 2011 Fall Classic so Pam will be looking at changing vendors for 2012’s show. Discussion of volunteers for undertaking remaining duties that need to be done during the Fall Classic Show.
New business:
AHA Convention costs were discussed as this year’s convention is to be held in Vancouver, B.C.
Motion by: Don Nitz to give $1,500 to each of the WMAHA convention delegates to offset the travel costs of the 2011 Arabian Horse Association Convention. Motion Carried.
