Welcome to our Web site

The West Michigan Arabian Horse Association holds four horse shows a year.

Our big Class 'A' Show is over Labor Day weekend and we have approximately 340 horses competing. The competition is awesome and we have the best trophies and ribbons in the state of Michigan. Please plan on joining us, or if you wish information, e-mail pamk@iserv.net

We also have three AHA Community Shows held at the Hudsonville Fairgrounds, Hudsonville, MI. The show schedule consists of 45 classes, which include Halter for the Purebred & Half Arabian, Showmanship, Walk-Trot, Lead line and English & Western performance classes. Click on the Community Show tab for information or contact Tamarind Truax at (269) 792-4319 or tamarindtruax@sbcglobal.net.

These are great shows for the beginning horse or rider, and we have lots of fun.

David Rinehart Memorial Trophy

The first David Rinehart memorial trophy was presented this year at the
Region 13 show. It was a very moving moment.

We have a heart-felt presentation tonight in memory of our special friend,
Dave Rinehart.

Although Dave's involvement in our Arabian youth began with his daughter, it soon stretched to include just about anyone who rode a horse. He was always there with encouragement, a pat on the back and a hearty laugh.

At shows he was invaluable as a gopher, always asking "What can I do to help?" He will be missed, but not forgotten through the yearly presentation of this award. The Dave Rinehart memorial trophy is presented to the Region 13 youth who best exhibits true sportsmanship and camaraderie which so aptly described Dave.
